Jón Hallur Stefánsson
About the author
Jón Hallur Stefánsson is a master of many trades: a skilled songwriter, excellent poet, one of Iceland's leading radio broadcasters; and in recent years he has earned a reputation as a sound designer for the theatre.
Publisher Bjartur and Jón Hallur have a long and varied relationship, which started with Jón Hallur's translation of a collection of short stories, Endilöng nóttin by Julio Cortázar.
Ever since, Jón Hallur has been translating for the publisher, sometimes with more than one project in progress at once. Bjartur has now published the first novel written by this outstanding translator, a crime story Krosstré, which has instantly placed its author among Iceland's leading crime writers.
